Denied or Protected?

Receive this WORD from the LORD:

A Message from Anointed Messenger

I have a friend who is raising a small boy as a single parent. Recently her son came to her and asked her not to marry anyone. Perhaps he was afraid that a husband might take his precious place in his mother's heart. He may have also feared that he would be excluded from the relationship.

In the past, he has not been included in relationships with men that his mother dated. As a former child therapist I know that was wisdom on the part of his mother. It would be more damaging to bring men into his life only to remove them. Although he didn't understand it, his mother was looking out for his best interests. She was thoroughly inspecting everyone who might enter her child's life. She wasn't going to allow anyone in until she knew he would be a good husband and a good father.

In the same way God is going before us and testing everything that might come into our lives. There have been times when I thought God was denying me, or leaving me out of things I should have had or been a part of. I feared it was more important to God that His goals be achieved than that my desires be fulfilled. Now I know He was just being a good parent. He was looking out for me; filtering out the bad, leveling the mountains and making the crooked places straight.

Beloved, we don't have to fear that God is holding out on us. He's not selfishly putting His interests before our own. He designed us such that our desires and His plan work together. The denial and lack you experience during testing won't be present during harvest. Trust Him completely, and see that He is bringing you nothing but His very best.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.
He gives us grace and glory.
The Lord will withhold no good thing
from those who do what is right.
Psalm 84:11 New Living Translation
