Having a Dream for Your Life
·
Stepping out in faith takes courage
·
There’s a chance you could be wrong
·
Joyce tried a lot of different things
·
It’s like clothes; you try on things until you
find what fits
·
Don’t be afraid to step out and have dreams and
hopes
·
Always believe in miracles
·
There are dreamers who don’t work; and workers who
don’t dream
·
Some work hard but don’t have a dream
·
It’s so boring
·
Is there more to life than this?
·
If you’re going to work you need a dream, a hope
for the fruit of your labor
·
Belief God can do something greater with your life
·
Then there are dreamers who won’t work
·
Some have dreams but aren’t willing to do the work
·
And go through the painful part
·
It’s like being pregnant
·
Not many women give birth without pain
·
There’s more than just having some bright idea
·
You have to be willing to work and go through
whatever it takes
·
Do you have the heart of a finisher?
·
John 17:4 I have glorified You down here on the
earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.
·
About 15-20 years ago Joyce read that scripture
and wept
·
She knew in her spirit it was important that she
finish what she started
·
The excitement of new beginnings will fade
·
Then you’re the only one…
·
Wondering if it will come to pass
·
It could be as simple as getting out of debt
·
Or getting your health back
·
You can do some things to restore your health
·
Ecclesiastes 5:3 For a dream comes with much
business and painful effort, and a fool’s voice with many words.
·
We’ll pray for you but a dream comes to pass with
prayer, much effort…
·
A lot of people have wishbone but what we need is
backbone
·
No one is unhappier than the one who hopes without
efforts to bring it to pass
·
The more
you do the more you’re able to do; and the less you do, the less you’re able to
do
·
Have a dream for your life
·
A dream for a great marriage
·
Don’t put it all on the other person
·
Do the work you can do to make it better
·
You have to be able to conceive
·
You can’t get pregnant without conceiving
·
In the spirit you conceive the seed of hopes and
dreams God is putting in you and then you’re pregnant
·
How many will make it through pregnancy?
·
How many will go through labor?
·
And delivery?
·
What do you see for your future?
·
Genesis 13:15-17
15 For all the land which you
see I will give to you and to your posterity forever.
16 And I will make your
descendants like the dust of the earth, so that if a man could count the dust
of the earth, then could your descendants also be counted.
17 Arise, walk through the
land, the length of it and the breadth of it, for I will give it to you.

God had blessed Abraham and his nephew Lot so much that the employees were fighting over the
cattle’s grass
·
Abraham took the initiative and sought peace
·
Peacemakers get God’s attention
·
It would have been easy for Abraham to have an
attitude
·
Who do
you think you are? This was my stuff…
·
In an argument are you the first to make peace?
·
If you’ll do that God will honor you
·
Let there be no strife between me and you
·
You choose what you want and I will take what’s
left
·
Starting over can be really exciting
·
It’s never too late to begin again
·
You’re never too old, young, etc
·
You can have a dream right here today that your
life will be better
·
That you will do something great
·
I’d rather believe for a lot and get half of it
than believe for a little and get all of it
·
Vs 17 Arise, walk through the land, the length of
it and the breadth of it, for I will give it to you.
·
He told him 2 things: 1. Go see something 2. Now
walk it out
·
When God touches you He is equipping you to do
something
·
We’re not anointed to give up or be lazy
·
But to see something in the spirit and walk it out
in our lives
·
Joyce heard the spirit say she would go all over
the world and preach to the nations
·
Today they are teaching the Word in 63 languages in
⅔ of the
world
·
There’s been a lot of painful effort and walking
it out
·
But where would she be if she didn’t have a dream?
·
Some of you need to stir yourself up
·
Some have let the disappointments get to you
·
Paul said to Timothy stir yourself up
·
Have a dream
·
And walk it out
·
Joyce loves Genesis

·
God gave this man Abram a great word for his life
·
1After these things, the word of
the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram, I am your [a]Shield, your abundant compensation, and
your reward shall be exceedingly great.
·
Abram says what can you give me? I have no
children
·
2And Abram said, Lord God, what
can You give me, since I am going on [from this world] childless and he who
shall be the owner and heir of my house is this [steward] Eliezer of
Damascus?
·
3And Abram continued, Look, You
have given me no child; and [a servant] born in my house is my heir.
·
Abram persisted with that about not having a child
·
Abram was convinced God wasn’t talking to him
·
God is talking
to you today
·
Don’t sit there and admire Joel or Joyce; God can
do something equally amazing with you
·
You’ve got to be able to conceive
·
Joyce wants a bunch of people to get pregnant
today!
·
Men get pregnant today!
·
You need somebody to get you out of your boring
box
·
4And behold, the word of the Lord
came to him, saying, This man shall not be your heir, but he who shall come
from your own body shall be your heir.
·
There was a huge problem; Sara had already gone through
the change of life
·
And Abram was not able to do what he needed to do
to do it
·
They were 90 and 100
·
5And He brought him outside [his
tent into the starlight] and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the
stars—if you are able to number them. Then He said to him, So shall your
descendants be.
·
Why did God have to get him outside of his tent?
·
Sometimes when you’re staring at the problem too
long…
·
God says: Get out there and look at what I’ve got
·
Some of you need to get out of your tent when you
feel yourself sinking
·
Go look at a mountain
·
Don’t just sit there and sink into the lie that
nothing good will ever happen to you
·
Old men shall dream dreams and young men
·
Joel 2:28 And afterward I will pour out My Spirit
upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men
shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
·
Men and women – greatly and mightily used of God
·
Joyce had a dream
·
She’s done so much, what’s left to do?
·
With so many people on the planet there are still
those who haven’t heard the gospel
·
Japan is
closed to the gospel but Joyce said she wants to go there
·
This year Joyce will be 70
·
Dodie and she made a pact
·
When Dodie is 100 and Joyce is 90 Joyce will come
here [to Lakewood]
and preach that Sunday
·
How do you retire from a call on your life?!
·
Joyce hopes to be doing this when Jesus takes her
home
·
Even if she has to sit she can still talk
·
Once you do conceive are you able to carry it to
full term?
·
Most are really excited when they first get
pregnant
·
When you’re pregnant it seems like you’ll never be
done
·
In the beginning you’re so excited but no one else
can see it
·
Sometimes you’re pregnant but you’re not showing
yet
·
It doesn’t do you any good to tell anybody
·
People laughed at Joyce when she told him her
dream
·
They told her that with her personality they
didn’t think she could do it
·
If only you and God believe in you then you’ve got
to keep believing
·
People don’t mean to be discouraging but God
didn’t speak to them what He spoke to you
·
Unless God opens their eyes they can’t see it
·
Carry your baby to full term
·
In the beginning you don’t even look pregnant
·
Joyce carried all her kids 10 months
·
Joyce had pregnant ladies come on stage
·
Lined up in stages of pregnancy
·
When Joyce got pregnant with that dream, the more
she prepared and changed the more people could see maybe something really was
going on
·
When you get near the end you just want to have
the baby
·
When Abram looked at Sara and himself he didn’t
see anything
·
It’s enough when you’ve been pregnant 9 months
·
When you’re due you wanna go
·
Some of you are due
·
And some are overdue and you really want to go
·
Twice the doctors tried to start her labor but
couldn’t
·
Some of you are trying to induce your own labor
·
But it’s not working
·
That whole time of pregnancy is so important
·
That’s when great men/women are made or fall by
the wayside
·
Her last son was huge and painful and used to dig
his feet in her ribs
·
But now he’s the CEO of JMM
·
She’s glad she had that baby!
·
Don’t let the naysayers put you down – give birth!
·
When God’s preparing you for something, during
that time you change
·
When you’re pregnant you change
·
And sometimes you think you’re crazy
·
Who do you think you are (says the devil)
·
People don’t understand you
·
Sometimes your friends have to change
·
Get some encouraging friends instead of those
sucking all the life out of you
·
When you’re going to have a baby you have to
change some habits
·
You have to let go of your old life
·
We get in debt by shovel loads and dig our way out
with teaspoons
·
That has to change
·
It’s a time of preparation
·
Jesus went through times of preparation
·
Yell “I’m pregnant!”
·
A woman with 2 boys came to Jesus and said Lord
let these 2 sons of mine…
·
I want my sons to have great positions
·
Matthew 20:22 But Jesus replied, You do not
realize what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to
drink [a]and to be baptized with the baptism with
which I am baptized? They answered, We are able.
·
Jesus said you don’t know what you’re asking
·
Anyone can get you excited but you need the
practicality of how to walk it out
·
God’s people shouldn’t be under something all the
time
·
It’s time that we become the head and not the tail
·
Look at the stars, get out of your tent
·
Get pregnant with something!
·
And then make it all the way through the pregnancy
·
Don’t abort
·
Don’t try to birth early
·
When God’s taking too long we want to come up with
our own ideas
·
At one time Joyce was so frustrated with her dream
and no one was asking her to speak anywhere
·
She’d watch others on TV and in her pride she
thought “I can preach better than that”
·
God was no doubt dealing with that pride
·
She remembers typing a letter to send to all the
pastors telling them of her calling and asking if they’d like her to come to
their church and preach
·
She’s so glad God said don’t do that
·
When Joyce was waiting to deliver she tried
everything to do induce labor
·
We do that with spiritual pregnancies too
·
Well this message is your word
·
There’s a lot that happens when you’re carrying
this thing from God that nobody can help you with
·
God is doing it in you and you don’t even
understand it
·
You have to be still and let God do it
·
Esther went to the king with a vision to deliver
her people
·
Esther 2:12 Now when the turn of each maiden came
to go in to King Ahasuerus, after the regulations for the women had been
carried out for twelve months—since this was the regular period for their
beauty treatments, six months with oil of myrrh and six months with sweet
spices and perfumes and the things for the purifying of the women—
·
She’s been there 12 months waiting
·
And receiving beauty treatments before she could
see the king
·
Joyce needed some sweet spices before God released
her on the public
·
She needed to have a beautiful soul
·
When God gifts you to do it you still need
character to do it
·
Many have the gifting but not the character
·
Many of you are having beauty treatments right now
·
God is working you over
·
Changing the way you talk, think, look at yourself
·
Changing you from a complainer to a praiser
·
From a faultfinder to a complimenter
·
Jesus had silent years
·
John the Baptist had silent years
·
From 12 to 30 all the bible says is Jesus grew
·
John the Baptist went into the wilderness and he
grew
·
But he came out a wild man shouting for the LORD
·
Can God count on you to give birth?
·
Some of you have a baby in the birth canal
·
As uncomfortable as pregnancy is, the harder part
is giving birth
·
And all the doctor says is PUSH
·
A woman can get violent
·
I will kill you if you ever get me pregnant again!
·
But when you get the baby it’s so worth it
·
Joyce has been having spiritual babies all her
life
·
Can you bring it through to the finish?
·
Joyce has a dream this morning for the lost
·
